SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to functional diagnostics of cardiovascular system. Echocardiography is performed to patient. Data of dopplerometry of flow rate in aorta volume acceleration and volume of peak acceleration are calculated. Indices of volume of peak acceleration and volume acceleration are correlated with mass of left ventricle myocardium. If result of ratio of volume acceleration to mass of left ventricle myocardium is less than 2 ml/sec2/g, conclusion about presence of myocardial failure is made.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out early diagnostics of myocardial dysfunction as well as use it as screening method.
