SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to dentistry. In a patient with clinical signs of glossitis after a night’s sleep on an empty stomach, before drinking water and before changing the horizontal position, the oral fluid is collected in a container, frozen, and the quantitative content of bile acids is determined by the enzymatic colorimetric method. When the total amount of bile acids is more than 2 µmol/l, desquamative glossitis induced by bile acids is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method allows starting early etiopathogenetic therapy, determining treatment tactics and increasing its efficacy due to timely detection of an etiological provocative factor.
