FIELD: gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to determine the actual capacity of the electromagnetic valve located in the inhibitor dosing unit. In the proposed method for determining the capacity of the electromagnetic valve by spilling liquid, at first, the correction to the volume of spilled liquid during the time spent on pressure stabilization is determined, and then, based on the pressure drop across the valve measured by a pressure gauge and the water flow through the valve measured with a measuring tank, the flow factor is determined. Determining the actual capacity of the electromagnetic valve as part of the inhibitor dosing unit allows to effectively solve the problem of dosing the inhibitor into gas-bearing wells in order to eliminate hydrate formation due to a more accurate calculation of the methanol supply to the well. In addition, periodic checks of metering valves can be used to determine the degree of their wear in order to timely correct the algorithms of the system of the inhibitor supply to the wells. The proposed method can be used by conducting receipt inspection of inhibitor dosing units in order to identify products with factory defects and inconsistencies with the manufacturer’s technical specifications.
EFFECT: improved measurement accuracy, reduced measurement time.
