FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering, namely to the technology of repair of traction generators of dump trucks. The technical result is achieved by creating a method for restoring the ventilation system of the traction generator and creating a ventilation system of the generator that is resistant to damage caused by the ingress of foreign objects into the operating generator, and minimizing the likelihood of damage to the elements of the generator stator winding. In the method, the failed traction generator is disassembled, while the damaged fan of the factory design is dismantled from the generator rotor. Mounting elements are installed on the stator housing and they fix the diffuser disk on the stator housing from the side facing the fan. Then, a fan made in the form of a flat steel disc with steel blades fixed on it in the plane facing the diffuser is mounted on the rotor using bolts, pins and a mounting flange. If necessary, a remote spacer is attached to ensure the required fan departure. Then the traction generator is assembled in reverse order. The ventilation system of the traction generator of a dump truck includes a centrifugal fan consisting of a fan made in the form of a disk placed on the rotor with a central hole and blades welded to it from the side facing the stator, and a diffuser made in the form of a disk fixed to the stator from the side of the fan blades, and performing the function of mechanical protection of current carriers’ parts of the stator in case of an emergency.

EFFECT: invention increases in the reliability of the traction generator and an increase in the accident-free life of its operation.
