SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of handguns, in particular to quick-detachable bipods mounted on firearms of various types, having a counterpart according to the type of rail mounting system, for example, Picatinny or Weaver. A bipod for a firearm contains a base, supports with retractable posts with paws located in them, devices for adjusting the posts height and a spring device for fixing the supports in various positions relative to the base. The bipod contains a steel central part with a protruding rod, configured with the possibility of fixation on a rail attachment system, such as a Picatinny or Weaver rail. The central part rod is installed in a through hole made in the base of the bipod, wherein the central part is equipped with a screw that limits the rotation of the base on the central part relative to the longitudinal axis of the weapon, and the base contains a spring-loaded screw that fixes the tilt angle of the central part in the base of the bipod. The side faces of the base contain holes with the possibility of discrete displacement and fixation of the supports at the angles relative to the barrel axis: 45 degrees, 90 degrees, 135 degrees and 180 degrees.

EFFECT: ability to quickly and easily install a bipod on a rifle in any position, increase the accuracy of firing a weapon, and provide a discrete change in the angle of inclination of the bipod supports.
