FIELD: metalworking.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metalworking by pressure and may be used in the manufacture of spherical thin-walled parts of large sizes. Cutting of the workpiece of a given diameter, forming on it along the concentric circles of the annular ribs and subsequent extraction are carried out. The extraction is carried out by pressing its flanged part to obtain a semi-finished product. Forming of annular ribs is carried out on the workpiece with the exception of its flanged part. The total surface area of the annular ribs is 70-80% of the surface area of the finished part. The semi-finished product obtained by the extraction is annealed and calibrated.
EFFECT: spherical thin-walled parts of large sizes with the same wall thickness are obtained.
