SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of testing equipment and can be used in testing laboratories to study the ability of materials or products to withstand sudden temperature changes. Installation for cyclic testing of products for the effects of thermal shock, a sharp change in the temperature of the medium in liquid media, containing two baths with liquids with elevated and low temperatures, contains a device for automatically moving and immersing the tested products in the bath, a system for supplying liquid nitrogen from a Dewar vessel to cool the liquid in bath to a predetermined temperature, a control unit with setting the number of cycles, the exposure time of products in the bath, the temperature of the liquid in the bath, while using automatic movement and immersion of products in the bath, automatic maintenance of a low temperature of the liquid by metered supply of liquid nitrogen to cool the liquid to a temperature - 60°C inclusive and automatic supply and maintenance of the level of liquid nitrogen in the bath for cooling products to a temperature of -196°C.
EFFECT: expansion of the test temperature range, automation of the process, as well as ensuring sufficient speed of movement of the tested product in accordance with the method 205-3 GOST RV 5962 - 004.2.
