SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of bismuth-containing compounds used in medicine. The preparation of a solution of bismuth-potassium-ammonium citrate is carried out by adding a 45% aqueous solution of potassium hydroxide to water containing citric acid at a molar ratio of citric acid to potassium hydroxide equal to 3. Then bismuth citrate and 45% potassium hydroxide solution are added to the resulting solution at a molar ratio of bismuth citrate to potassium hydroxide equal to 1.64. Bring the pH of the solution to 7 by adding 25% aqueous ammonia solution.
EFFECT: invention allows to simplify the process and reduce its time.
