FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes sedimentation of basic bismuth nitrate from nitrate solutions at pH 0.5-1.2, its conversion in bismuth citrate with processing with a water solution of citric acid at a temperature of 50-90°C with the following obtaining a bismuth-potassium-ammonium-citrate-containing solution with pH 7-10 and its dilution with water and drying. Sedimentation of basic bismuth nitrate is carried out at a temperature of 50-70°C, and conversion of basic bismuth nitrate in citrate is realised with a molar ratio of citrate-ions to bismuth, equal to 1.01-1.15, and the weight ratio of a citric acid solution to basic bismuth nitrate, equal to 2.06-6.0.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase purity of the obtained product, as well as to reduce the time of the process carrying out.
