FIELD: wind energy.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to automatic control systems for limiting the rotational speed of a wind turbine with a vertical axis of rotation. Wind turbine speed limiter with a vertical axis of rotation contains spring-loaded weights located in the plane of rotation of the blades mounted on traverses with fixed connection to the vertical shaft, capable of moving in the radial direction, acting under the action of centrifugal force on the wind turbine speed limiting system. The blades are installed with the possibility of rotation around their longitudinal axis on the traverses. The weights are immovably fixed on the blades eccentrically to their axes of rotation. A rocker arm is installed on the shaft with a central hole with the possibility of rotation, at the ends of which at equal distances from the centre there are the first hinges connected by means of rigid rods, the length of which is equal to the distance between the axes of rotation of the blades and the axis of the shaft, located on the blades at the same distance from the centre of rotation blades with the second hinges. The rocker under the action of the spring is pressed against the stops and is thus in such a position in which the angle of installation of the blades corresponds to the optimal value in terms of the coefficient of wind energy utilization.

EFFECT: provision of frequency limitation in the entire range of wind speeds without imbalance of the wind turbine due to the synchronous rotation of the blades.
