FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of chemistry of high-molecular compounds, pharmaceuticals and medicine, namely, dexamethasone conjugates with synthetic amphiphilic polypeptides and polymer particles based on them, which are promising for the creation of new anti-inflammatory drugs for the treatment of eye diseases, in particular, macular edema and uveitis. The conjugate is dexamethasone covalently bound via a linker with a synthetic statistical polypeptide, and forms polymer particles in an aqueous medium. In one of the variants of the invention, the conjugate is modified with polysaccharides.
EFFECT: conjugation of dexamethasone with synthetic polypeptides promotes its prolonged controlled release in the vitreal fluid of the eye.
