SUBSTANCE: investigation of multiphase flows, in particular a technique for determining the parameters of a liquid or solid phase of a flow by optical means and can be used to determine the heterogeneity of the aqueous phase in a flow. The device contains a source of laser radiation, a matrix receiver of scattered radiation, a rotating mirror with a drive that provides scanning of the measuring volume with laser radiation, and a computing and control module, configured to control the drive of the mirror and the matrix radiation receiver, corrects the scattered radiation registered by the receiver for beam divergence and displays information for analysis about the heterogeneity of two-phase flows.

EFFECT: increase in the accuracy of determining the heterogeneity of a two-phase flow and a reduction in the operating time of the icing wind tunnel during the study of the flow heterogeneity, all modes of operation of the tunnel can be investigated in one experiment.
