FIELD: radiochemical production.
SUBSTANCE: radiochemical production facilities of the nuclear industry used as part of a facility for capturing volatile fission products, such as radioactive aerosols and radioactive iodine compounds, from exhaust gases in the processes of pyrochemical processing of irradiated nuclear fuel. The gas purifier contains a replaceable cartridge fixed on the frame. The cartridge contains a set of block contact elements located with an increase in the pore density of each subsequent element along the gas flow being cleaned from 10 to 45 ppi, which are a rigid frame made of ceramic highly porous block-cellular material with a cell size of 0.5-1.2 mm, a total open porosity 85-90%, containing more than 90%α of -AlO3. A sorption-active layer of γ-alumina is applied to the frame in the amount of 15% of the mass or silver nitrate in the amount of 20% of the mass.
EFFECT: expansion of the layout possibilities of a small-sized gas purifier with an increased sorption capacity.
