SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chew toys for dogs and methods for manufacturing them. The method for making a toy for dogs includes collecting coffee tree wood, drying it, cutting the wood into sticks, mechanical and fumigation treatment of the sticks. Drying of coffee tree wood is carried out until a wood moisture content of 8 to 22% is reached. Fumigation treatment of coffee tree sticks is carried out in a fumigation chamber at a temperature not lower than 120°C and for at least 20 hours. After mechanical and fumigation treatment, wood sticks are treated with antiseptic mixtures in at least four layers with an intermediate drying time between applying layers of at least four hours at a relative air humidity of not more than 80%.
EFFECT: increase in the safety of the process of brushing teeth and the prevention of dental diseases in dogs.
