FIELD: storage.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the storage of agricultural products. A method for reduction in ethylene production in bananas includes application to bananas of a synergetic preparation for reduction in ethylene production, while the preparation contains: at least one gibberellin compound (hereinafter – GA); at least 0.00625 wt.% of salicylic acid (hereinafter – SA); ≥50 wt.% of at least one organic solvent; less than 5 wt.% of water; optionally, at least one non-ionogenic or anionic surfactant; and optionally, at least one adjuvant, where the specified preparation contains more GA than SA per the total weight of the preparation.
EFFECT: proposed method for reduction in ethylene production in bananas provides delay in fruit ripening and preservation of good quality and fruit resilience during storage.
