FIELD: nuclear industry.
SUBSTANCE: inventions group relates to the nuclear industry. The device for monitoring the presence of components and the continuity of the fuel column in the fuel element additionally contains a fuel column gamma background sensor, a third gamma radiation source with a collimator, a third gamma radiation sensor with a counting pulse processing device, a continuous-wave X-ray tube with a collimator, an X-ray receiving matrix, fuel rod rotation drive with angular position sensor. The gamma background sensor of the fuel column is installed first in the direction of fuel rod movement, the third gamma radiation sensor and the third gamma radiation source with a collimator are installed with two existing in the same plane at an angle of 120° relative to each other. Gamma radiation sensor and gamma radiation source, X-ray tube with collimator and X-ray receiving matrix are installed diametrically opposite each other, and last in the direction of fuel rod movement, forming a single unit of dynamic radio-radiographic control. The mechanism for rotation and rotation of the fuel rod with a position sensor is built into the centering device of the installation.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of measurements in conditions of high-background fuel and coiled fuel rods, expanding functionality in terms of controlling fuel pellet chipping.
