FIELD: ferrous metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: ferrous metallurgy, in particular cooling of the outlet and transport troughs of a blast furnace. In the complex for cooling the blast furnace chutes, there are cooling overhead channels located outside the metal casing of each of the chutes, a forced cooling system for the outlet chute, consisting of at least one cooling sector: a slag belt or a cast-iron belt or the bottom part of the chute, and/or a forced cooling system transport chutes of cast iron and slag, consisting of at least one cooling sector: side walls or the bottom of the chutes.
EFFECT: invention provides increase of resistance of refractory lining of chutes and wear resistance of casing due to formation of a protective layer of the skull in form of a slag-metal formation on the surface of the lining.
