SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used in the manufacture of products of a given shape, for example, dental products. Disc-shaped workpiece contains upper and lower cylindrical ledges, a flange located between said ledges and protruding from their peripheral surface. At the same time, a holding surface is made on the flange with the possibility of abutting the contacting peripheral edge of the pressing side holding element of the annular holding device, and at least part of the holding surface is made at an inclination relative to the longitudinal axis of the workpiece. Also proposed is a method for fixing a workpiece for its machining, including the use of an annular holding device containing an installation side holding element and a pressing side holding element, which are made with the possibility of threaded connection with each other.
EFFECT: increase the reliability and convenience of holding the workpiece in the processing position.
