FIELD: molding equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to devices for continuous molding of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP), as well as to a method for continuous molding of FRP from a laminated sheet. A device that continuously molds FRP from laminated sheets, each of which includes a plurality of prepreg sheets layered on top of each other, each of which includes a thermoplastic resin and reinforcing fibers, and which differ from each other in fiber orientation, contains: a plurality of sheet feeders that continuously feed a plurality of laminated sheets into feed direction; a layering device that stacks a plurality of layered sheets fed by a plurality of sheet feeding devices on top of each other, and thereby forms a sheet layered body; a molding mechanism that, during the movement of the sheet layered body in the direction of feeding, molds a sheet layered body into FRP, with FRP having a cross-section of the target shape; and a heating device, which heats the sheet layered body during the molding of the sheet layered body performed by the molding mechanism. Moreover, the sheet layered body includes reinforcing fibers, the orientation of which coincides with the direction of feeding, the molding mechanism includes a molding device that includes a plurality of molds, a plurality of molds clamp the sheet layered body together in the direction of the thickness of the sheet layered body and compress the sheet layered body. In this case, the mold includes internal surfaces by means of which both end surfaces of the sheet layered body in the direction perpendicular to the direction of the thickness of the sheet layered body are limited when viewed in the direction of feeding, or the molding device includes limiting elements by means of which both end surfaces of the sheet layered body in the direction perpendicular to the direction of thickness the sheet layered body is limited when viewed in the feed direction.
EFFECT: development of devices and a method for the continuous production of FRP from prepreg sheets made of thermoplastic resin.
