FIELD: electronic microwave technology.
SUBSTANCE: O-type multibeam microwave device contains an electron gun, energy input and output, a collector and an electrodynamic system including input, output and intermediate active resonators, the first output passive resonator electromagnetically coupled to the output active resonator. The input, output and intermediate active resonators are designed as segments of waveguides with an operating mode of oscillations H401; groups of individual flight tubes are placed in each of the active resonators for transmitting electron beams; flight tubes are combined into 4 groups. The transit tubes of each partial resonator are located symmetrically relative to each other, while the center of their symmetry is in the center of the partial resonator, and their edges are located at a distance l=(0.28÷0.3)λ , Where λ is the wavelength corresponding to the center frequency of the instrument’s operating band, and the distance between the centers of the partial resonators is equal to the width of the partial resonator L. T-shaped inserts are installed in the input and output resonators opposite the communication windows, and the transverse part of the T-shaped insert covers the flight tubes near the window coupling, and the longitudinal part of the insert is located along the symmetry line of the partial resonator.
EFFECT: expansion of the operating frequency band, increase in output power, decrease in the current density taken from the cathode, increased durability of the product, ensuring high efficiency.
