FIELD: non-destructive testing of materials and products.

SUBSTANCE: optical-acoustic transducer of a laser-ultrasonic flaw detector includes an optical-acoustic generator, while the transducer is combined with a holding device, and the optical-acoustic generator included in its composition is a flexible annular tape, the inner surface which is in contact with the output scanning surface of the transducer and can slide along it, and the outer surface is in contact with the surface of the test object, driven to rewind along the system of rollers in the process of moving the transducer along the surface of the object under study, while the distance travelled by the transducer is measured by an encoder mounted on one of the rollers that rewinds the tape, at the same time, the device holding the optical-acoustic transducer has three support points in its body for its positioning on the surface of the test object, and the optical-acoustic transducer itself with a system of rollers is located on a spring-loaded console, which ensures that the transducer is pressed through the optical-acoustic generator tape along the normal to the surface of the test object.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of analysing the state of extended objects of various curvature directly at their locations without additional adjustment of the positioning parts, as well as increasing the productivity of scanning the surface of the object under study with a flaw detector.
