FIELD: defectoscopy.
SUBSTANCE: using for non-destructive material testing by ultrasonic methods. Summary of the invention is that are carried out generation of a series of optical pulses, converting them into acoustic signals, radiation of the received signals into the material under study, excitation of longitudinal and shear waves in a near-surface layer of the material under study, reception of echoed signals by a receiver made in the form of an array assembled from local piezoelectric elements, processing the received signals in real time in digital form with maintaining their phases, while generating a series of optical pulses in the range from 10 Hz to 100 kHz, and scanning is performed through the array of optically transparent piezoelectric elements, an acoustic impedance of which is matched to an acoustic impedance of an optical-acoustic generator.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of carrying out with a unilateral access mode to a sample of reliable laser-ultrasonick check, which possesses high resolution and high sensitivity.
