SUBSTANCE: injection device comprises: an elongated body (10) defining a longitudinal direction (z) and configured to receive a cartridge (20) containing a drug; a recording device (50) adapted to register the relative movement between the first element (100) and the second element (200), wherein the first element (100) undergoes a first movement relative to the second element (200) along the first longitudinal direction (3) to set the dose, and moreover, the first element (100) undergoes a second movement relative to the second element (200) along the second longitudinal direction (2) for dispensing a dose, and wherein one of the first movement and the second movement is a helical movement, and the other of the first movement and the second movement represents a sliding movement in the longitudinal direction (z); moreover, the second element (200) contains at least one orientation element (60; 160)attached to the second element (200); moreover, the first element (100) contains a surface (102) of a tubular shape, equipped with a relief (104) facing the reference element (60; 160); moreover, the recording device (50; 150) contains at least one electrical sensor (51; 151) located on one of the first element (100) and the second element (200) and adapted to register changes in the position of the relief (104) relative to at least one orientation element (60; 160) and for generating at least one electrical signal in response to a change in the position of the relief (104) during at least one of the first movement and the second movement of the first element (100) relative to the second element (200).
