SUBSTANCE: to achieve the effect, the first electronic device capable of connecting over a 5 GHz channel listens over a 2.4 GHz channel. The second device, which only supports the 2.4 GHz band, transmits a probe request frame to the first electronic device. The first electronic device transmits a probe response to the second electronic device and establishes a P2P connection with the second electronic device. The second electronic device transmits information to the first electronic device. Wherein, before the first electronic device listens on the 2.4 GHz channel, it listens on the 5 GHz channel. The duration of listening on the 2.4 GHz channel is less than the duration of listening on the 5 GHz channel.
EFFECT: ensuring reliable detection by the electronic device of other devices for connection with them without affecting the exchange of packets with the access point (AP).
