SUBSTANCE: drug delivery device, comprising a housing (5, 10) with an opening (12), a piston rod (11) having a proximal end and a distal end, at least a part with a mating device (14) adapted to engage with the opening (12) for guiding the piston rod (11) during the distal or proximal movement of the piston rod (11) relative to the housing (5, 10), and at least one first fastener (15) located on the distal end, and a support (16) with at least one second fastener (17, 18) for rotatably attaching the support (16) to the distal end of the piston rod (11). Moreover at least one first fastening element (15) and/or at least one second fastening element (17, 18) is elastically deformable in the radial direction for snapping engagement of the piston rod (11) and support (5, 10). In this case, the opening (12) contains at least one part having a contour adapted to accommodate at least one first fastener element (15) and at least one second fastener element (17, 18), when connected to each other, however preventing separation of at least one first fastener (15) and at least one second fastener (17, 18) when placed in the opening (12).
