FIELD: vibration isolation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to variants of a vibration isolating connecting element for isolating torsional vibration in a drill string, as well as to variants of a method for isolating torsional vibrations from one section of the drill string connected to another section of the drill string through a vibration isolating connecting element. The vibration isolating connecting element contains the first section of the connecting element, the second section of the connecting element and a plurality of connecting elements. The first section of the connecting element contains the first annular wall having an outer surface and an inner surface defining the first section of the central channel. The second section of the connecting element is located inside the first section of the central channel. The second section of the connecting element contains a second annular wall having an outer surface section and an inner surface section defining a second section of the central channel. A number of connecting elements extend from the inner surface of the first annular wall through the second annular wall in the second section of the central channel and connect to the section of the inner surface of the second annular wall. The vibration isolating connecting element provides isolation of torsional vibrations by elastic bending of the plurality of connecting elements.

EFFECT: reducing the negative impact of vibrations in the drill string.
