SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drilling, namely to a vibration-absorbing coupling and a method for reducing high-frequency torsional vibrations in a drill string. The vibration-absorbing coupling comprises the first part of the coupling comprising the outer surface and the inner surface, the second part of the coupling comprising the outer surface and the inner surface, and the vibration-absorbing part passing between the first part of the coupling and the second part of the coupling. The vibration-absorbing part comprises the first solid annular part forming the first end of the vibration-absorbing part, and the second solid annular part forming the second end of the vibration-absorbing part. The vibration-absorbing part includes a plurality of grooves extending from the first solid annular part to the second solid annular part, forming a plurality of vibration-absorbing elements, while each of the plurality of vibration-absorbing elements is disconnected from neighboring elements from the plurality of vibration-absorbing elements by means of the corresponding one of the plurality of grooves.
EFFECT: set of vibration-absorbing elements provide the possibility of rotation when the first part of the coupling is twisted relative to the second part of the coupling.
