FIELD: lidar and laser vision of objects.
SUBSTANCE: lidar and laser vision of objects in light-scattering optical media (water, fog, atmospheric haze). Invention can be used in laser location systems to detect and recognize various objects, such as underwater objects. The device for underwater vision includes scanning objects with pulsed laser radiation with a narrow directivity pattern, suppression of backscattering interference by polarization filtering and gating of a photodetector, detection of a laser pulse reflected from an object, and registration of the maximum amplitude value at the leading edge of the received pulse. The novelty of the claimed device lies in the fact that when the laser radiation reflected from the object is not detected, its detection and registration is carried out according to the maximum steepness of the decay of the radiation scattered by the optical medium and then the image of the underwater object is formed from the mentioned recorded signals.
EFFECT: increased reliability, increased range of vision and improved image quality of underwater objects.
