FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a problem in agrochemistry associated with overcoming the phytotoxic effect of herbicide residues in soils on cultivated plants. As a detoxicant, montmorillonite is proposed which is applied to the soil at a dose of 100-200 kg/ha in the form of a suspension in water a day before sowing.
EFFECT: use of montmorillonite makes it possible to neutralize the phytotoxic effect of sulfonylurea herbicides, in particular metsulfuron-methyl, in the soil, while stimulating plant growth.
