FIELD: absorbers of electromagnetic waves.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to absorbers of electromagnetic waves in the microwave range and can be used to reduce the radar visibility of objects for various purposes and configurations. A method for manufacturing a paste that absorbs electromagnetic radiation in the microwave range includes the following steps: epoxy resin ED 20 is heated in a water bath to a temperature of 30 to 35°C, then gradually pour in and thoroughly mix the XB 2.0 rubber powder, chopped carbon fibre, flake graphite and P10 carbonyl iron until a homogeneous mass, after which the PEPA hardener is added and the resulting mass is stirred for 2 minutes. Then, in a thin stream, the resulting paste based on a carbon matrix with chopped carbon fibre and flake graphite is poured into a mould and left to solidify for 24 hours.
EFFECT: strengthening of radio-absorbing properties, increase of temperature and strength characteristics, possibility of paste application to any surface, possibility of cold casting of paste into mould.
