FIELD: high-precision laser gyroscope.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related in particular to systems for regulating the perimeter of the resonator of a four-frequency laser gyroscope. The method for controlling the length of the resonator in four-frequency laser gyroscopes consists of detecting the beat signal by directing a radiation beam of left and right circular polarization to the photodetector with frequencies generated in one direction around the resonator. After detection, the signal frequency is shifted to the low-frequency region using a local oscillator and converted into a pulse sequence using a comparator. Next, the received signal in form of a pulse frequency enters the data processing unit to extract the control signal, which is fed in form of a constant and alternating voltage to the piezo motors to adjust the perimeter of the gyroscope resonator to the maximum beat frequency of two generated waves of orthogonal polarizations of one direction of propagation.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of controlling the length of the resonator in a four-frequency laser gyroscope using the frequency of the beat signal of waves of orthogonal polarization of one direction of propagation as an information signal.
