FIELD: laser gyroscopy.

SUBSTANCE: method for stabilizing and regulating the perimeter of a four-frequency Zeeman laser gyroscope with an alternating magneto-optical frequency base in the shape of a meander, including optical combination of counterpropagating waves of each mode, optical separation of two orthogonally polarized modes, obtaining interference patterns on two-site photodetectors, converting optical signals of interference patterns into sinusoidal electrical signals with a frequency equal to the difference in the frequencies of counterpropagating waves in two modes, which are converted on comparators into pulse signals, the formation of a discriminatory characteristic of the perimeter control system based on the difference in frequencies of the bases of two modes for the positive and negative half-cycles of the meander and adjustment of the laser perimeter using piezoelectric mirrors into the working point of equality of the amplitudes of the frequency shifts of the two modes, differs in that the recording of the output data of such a gyroscope is shifted by a quarter of the period relative to the leading edge of the meander.

EFFECT: elimination of errors in measuring the frequency offset amplitude and angular velocity when the perimeter misalignment changes due to the effect of constant angular accelerations on the gyroscope.
