FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: methods for fastening grounding conductors on metal structures that meet the standards for the required degree of protection of buildings, structures and open installations from the effects of atmospheric electricity and protect the object from direct lightning strikes. Grounding conductors with a diameter of 8-10 mm are attached to the end of the shelves or walls of metal structures made of angle, strip, T-beam, I-beam and channel and containing shelves and walls of rectangular cross section, using a holder for fastening grounding conductors containing a clamp consisting of two plates curved in the middle part and having a rounded protrusion in the side part, and a U-shaped holder body connected to the clamp with a bolt and consisting of a middle part and side walls, where bolts are located on one of the side walls for fastening to a metal structure. The ratio of the length of the side walls along the inner side of the U-shaped holder body to the width of the middle part of the U-shaped holder body varies from 1÷1.4 to 1÷1.8. In this case, the gap width between the side walls corresponds to the thickness of the shelf or wall of the metal structure, to which the gap for fastening the bolts to the metal structure located on one of the side walls of the U-shaped housing is added. Firstly, a holder for grounding conductors is attached to the end of the shelves or walls of the metal structure from the side of the U-shaped body with the end of the shelves or walls of the metal structure located in the gap between the side walls of the U-shaped holder body. After that, the bolts for fastening to a metal structure, located on one of the side walls of the holder body, are tightened, then one or two ground conductors with a diameter of 8-10 mm are inserted into the clamp plates, the plates are fixed crosswise or in parallel, depending on the selected location of the ground conductors and fixed using a bolt connecting the clamp and the U-shaped body.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of reliable fixation in a vertical or horizontal position of round grounding conductors with a diameter of 8-10 mm, located between each other both parallel and perpendicular to the end part of the shelves or walls of metal structures made of an angle, strip, T-beam, I-beam or channel, containing shelves and walls of rectangular section, without the need for drilling a metal structure or welding, with the possibility of easy dismantling or replacement of damaged parts.
