SUBSTANCE: installation contains a power step-down transformer with regulation and control equipment located on the support of a lathe, working tools in form of rollers, the current to which is supplied directly from the secondary winding of the power step-down transformer. A power step-down transformer with regulation and control equipment is placed in a housing, the base of which is fixed on a movable carriage. The carriage is connected to the adapter by two guides located on the sides of the carriage with the possibility of horizontal movement of the carriage perpendicular to the workpiece. The adapter is equipped with two hydraulic shock absorbers of equal stiffness. The adapter is rigidly fixed on the lathe support. Working tools are connected directly to the terminals of the secondary winding of the power step-down transformer.

EFFECT: cost of electrical energy is reduced, and the depth of hardening is ensured.
