FIELD: high-explosive fragmentation projectile.
SUBSTANCE: method for manufacturing a high-explosive fragmentation projectile. Method includes forming a system of fragmentation elements of a rhombic profile on the inner surface of the projectile. The body consists of three parts, a central shell, a flange and a frame. Fragmentation elements with a rhombic profile are located only in two opposite zones of the inner surface of the central shell, limited by surfaces with an increase in the inner diameter of the shell by an amount greater than the depth of the grooves forming the fragmentation elements. Fragmented elements with a rhombic profile are formed by successive shaping using a turning cutter of multi-thread spiral grooves with a certain pitch, on the right and the left, to the required depth in the specified zones of the inner surface with simultaneous programmed rotation of the tubular blank and axial movement of the turning cutter installed in the tool holder. Then internal surfaces are formed without fragmentation elements by planing with a turning cutter with programmed movement of the turning cutter installed in the tool holder along two axes, and sequential rotation of the tubular billet. After that, a flange and a frame are welded to the shell from both sides using an electron beam welding unit in a vacuum, after which the final processing of the outer diameter of the body is performed and groups of interconnected transition holes and fastening and orientation elements of the projectiles in the flange and frame as part of the rocket are formed.
EFFECT: increase of safety of manufacturing process of a high-explosive fragmentation projectile with a system of fragmentation elements, increase of accuracy of manufacturing of a given profile of fragmentation elements.
