FIELD: rocket engineering.
SUBSTANCE: development of rockets with cluster bomb warheads. Cluster bomb warhead with projectiles contains a fairing and a shell with a bottom, in which projectiles with fuses, arming assemblies and detachable brackets are placed, a piston with a forcing unit, as well as an accumulating and separating cavity equipped with power sources. The accumulating cavity is gas-dynamically connected to the arming cavities by means of peripheral channels formed between detachable brackets of the U-shaped profile, fastening the striking elements due to the radial protrusions included in the reciprocal grooves made on the adjacent radial surfaces of the fairing, the projectiles and the piston. Between the projectiles, which form the arming cavity by means of axial stops, additional power sources with receiving conical bushings are placed, oriented in mutually opposite directions, and the piston is equipped with a V-shaped seal directed by sealing surfaces towards the fairing, and a central ignition channel oriented with the inlet conical sides on the screen of the gas-powder mixture and on the thinning in the body of the separating power source from the output side of the channel.
EFFECT: rational, reliably functioning design of the cluster bomb warhead has been developed, which provides initially reliable fixation, and then reliable opening on the trajectory of all components of the warhead.
