FIELD: cardiovascular surgery.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for pre-implantation processing of textile products for cardiovascular surgery. The claimed method consists in treating prostheses with a solution containing a gelling agent, followed by crosslinking with a crosslinking agent, characterized in that collagen, gelatin or a mixture thereof with a mass concentration of 2–15% is used as a gelling agent; as a crosslinking agent, 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether with a molecular weight of 202.4 Da or polyethylene glycol diglycidyl ether with a molecular weight of 500 Da, or polypropylene glycol diglycidyl ether with a molecular weight of 380 or 640 Da is used; while the mass concentration of the cross-linking agent is from 3% to 20%, and the treatment of prostheses with a solution containing a gelling agent is carried out at a temperature of 35°C to 55°C.
EFFECT: above method provides biopolymer coated textiles for use in cardiovascular surgery that have zero chemical porosity and will not use glutaraldehyde or formaldehyde in the manufacturing process.
