FIELD: medicine; surgical dentistry; maxillofacial surgery.
SUBSTANCE: from the vestibular side, the surface of the bone of the upper jaw is exposed. Next, a trepanation hole is created in the maxillary sinus, the Schneiderian membrane is separated from the bone walls. Then, the formed ribbon-like flap of the first collagen membrane is fixed on the bone at the edges of the burr hole and immersed into the sinus cavity up to the medial wall. Next, a bone graft is introduced into the sinus cavity, after which the burr hole is closed with an external collagen membrane with its fixation. In this case, before the bone graft is inserted along the edge of the burr hole, the second ribbon-like collagen membrane flap is fixed on the bone and immersed in the sinus cavity with perpendicular overlap of the first collagen membrane flap located in the sinus cavity.
EFFECT: method allows to safely and effectively eliminate medium, large, total perforations of the Schneiderian membrane with simultaneous open sinus lifting and dental implantation within one surgical intervention, reduce injury risk, shorten the time of surgical treatment, and prevent the development of complications.
