METHOD OF ELIMINATING PERFORATION OF SCHNEIDER MEMBRANE DURING SINUS LIFTING Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC A61C8/00 A61B17/24

Abstract RU 2805790 C1

FIELD: medicine; surgical dentistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for eliminating perforations of the mucous membrane of the maxillary sinus during sinus lifting and implantation operations. The mucoperiosteal flap is peeled off, providing access to the Schneiderian membrane, the perforation of the membrane is inserted into the center of the aperture, which represents a hole formed in the area of the alveolar process of the upper jaw for access to the maxillary sinus, and the Schneiderian membrane is peeled off from the bone wall. Vestibularly, two open medial through holes are made in parallel, closer to the edge of access for sinus lift surgery in the bone wall of the maxillary sinus from above with the distance between the holes equal to 3–4 mm. Using the Mathie-Kocher Needle Holder NH0890 and copolymer Monofilament (Glycolide 75 e-caprolactone 25) EUROKVIK 6/0, the needle is passed through the medial hole formed using a Lindemann cutter and exits into the subantral space of the maxillary sinus. Then the first injection of the needle is made through the inner surface of the Schneiderian membrane, the second injection of the needle is made from the outer surface of the mucosa symmetrically to the formed holes on the wall of the sinus. Next, the needles are brought out through the distal formed hole into the subantral space, followed by tension of the Schneiderian membrane and fixation with a simple knot.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce the time required for restoration of the dentition and ensure a significant increase in bone tissue, as well as to reduce risks during the healing process in the postoperative period.
