SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to machines that use working bodies for moving objects or processing materials, as well as a monitoring system for earthwork tools. An earth moving tool monitoring system for monitoring the state of an earth moving tool mounted on a work tool comprises several sensors configured to measure the parameters of an earth moving tool mounted on a work tool at least two different angles, and an electronic controller, connected to said multiple sensors. The electronic controller is configured to acquire images of the earthwork tool from the sensors, evaluate the images with an algorithm that compares the acquired image with a database of existing images to determine the degree of damage, wear or absence of the earthwork tool, evaluate the quality of the received image to determine whether the quality of the resulting image is poor or acceptable unless certain conditions are met, where the fulfilment of certain conditions includes determining the position or orientation of the work tool and/or the earth moving tool and/or the linkage that controls the position of the work tool or earthwork tool, determine the size of the earthwork tool installed on the work tool, compare the specific size of the earthwork tool installed on the work tool with the theoretical size of the new earthwork tool installed on the work tool and calculate the deviation between the specified size and the theoretical size.

EFFECT: accuracy and reliability of determining the absence of damage or wear of the earthwork tool for the purpose of timely maintenance or replacement of the earthwork tool.
