FIELD: pharmaceutical industry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to an aqueous suspension anti-acid composition and a method for its preparation. The aqueous suspension anti-acid composition contains the following: water, aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, a mixed suspending agent and an antifoaming agent; moreover, the mixed suspending agent is a mixture of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium salt of carboxymethylcellulose and carrageenan, with the following content of components in relation to the aqueous suspension composition: each substance from aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide from 3 to 5% wt./vol., hydroxypropylmethylcellulose from 0.4 to 0.9% w/v, a mixture of microcrystalline cellulose and sodium salt of carboxymethyl cellulose from 0.1 to 0.5% w/v, taken in a ratio of 7:1 to 9:1, carrageenan from 0.1 to 0.3% w/v, while the defoamer contains simethicone and silicone resin. The invention discloses a method for obtaining an aqueous suspension composition under certain conditions.
EFFECT: group described above makes it possible to obtain a slurry containing aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide with improved settling, texture and viscosity.
