FIELD: ultrasonic drying.

SUBSTANCE: drying of various materials using ultrasonic vibrations. The essence of the method of ultrasonic drying of materials consists in placing the material to be dried in the process chamber, supplying and removing the coolant, forming ultrasonic vibrations in the chamber and exposing them to the material being dried for a time sufficient to achieve the required degree of humidity. The supply of the coolant in the form of heated air is carried out in a uniform flow over the volume of the chamber with a temperature not exceeding 60°C, the dried material is placed on the propagation path of ultrasonic vibrations in layers, the thickness corresponding to the wavelength of ultrasonic vibrations in air at the operating frequency of the emitter, the distance between the layers of the dried material is set equal to the wavelength of ultrasonic vibrations in air at the operating frequency of the emitter, forming in chamber of ultrasonic vibrations is carried out by an emitter installed parallel to the end surface of the chamber in such a way that the radiation surface in shape and size corresponds to the shape and dimensions of the end surface of the chamber, the impact is carried out by ultrasonic vibrations with a sound pressure level of at least 150 dB, but not more than 165 dB per operating frequency of at least 20 kHz.

EFFECT: reduced energy consumption for the implementation of the drying process, intensification of the process of removing moisture while increasing the mass of the dried material, ensuring uniform drying of the entire volume of the material.
