SUBSTANCE: invention can be used to improve the performance of machine parts made of polymeric materials of various structures, including thermosetting, which are used in the chemical, food and other industries and agriculture, for example, for surface hardening of gear cylindrical, bevel gears, impeller blades and housing blades of liquid ring machines and disk shaft seals. The method includes preliminary preparation of the surface of a steel mould and the subsequent introduction of ferromagnetic powder particles, the introduction of ferromagnetic powder particles into the surface of products from a thermosetting polymer material is carried out by applying moulding pressure to the placed ferromagnetic powder particles with preliminary application of a layer of ferromagnetic powder of various sizes on the inner surface of the steel mould, held external magnetic field.

EFFECT: increase in the service life of parts made of thermosetting plastics, an increase in surface hardness and strength, as well as a decrease in the complexity of the process of surface hardening of thermoplastic products directly in the process of their production, eliminating the need for metallization of finished products.
