FIELD: integrated optics.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for dividing the input light into two parts. The device includes four modified Y-shaped dividers connected to each other in a special way, and in case of the intersection of waveguides in one layer, crossovers are used that act as two intersecting lines.
EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of directional couplers in integrated optics, as well as the expansion of the operating frequency band of directional couplers.
