FIELD: resistant materials.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a material resistant to erosion and corrosion, a material resistant to drop impact erosion, a turbine blade, a pump impeller, a method for manufacturing an erosion and corrosion resistant material, methods for applying a coating resistant to drop impact erosion, and methods for applying a coating resistant to cavitation erosion. The erosion and corrosion resistant material and the drop impact erosion resistant material comprise carbon-doped tungsten deposited on a substrate and have a columnar crystalline microstructure. Carbon-doped tungsten is a tungsten matrix in which tungsten carbide nanoparticles are dispersed in the form of a homogeneous nanostructure. There is no oxygen in said matrix, except for parts of the surface of said substrate open to air or moisture.
EFFECT: turbine blades, vanes and other parts are protected from drop impact erosion, especially erosion and/or corrosion.
