SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the methods for obtaining viruses and recombinant virions in culture. Described is a method for producing virions of a recombinant adeno-associated virus (rAAV), which includes cultivating a recombinant herpes simplex virus (rHSV) in a cell culture that contains aurine tricarboxylic acid and fetal calf serum. rHSV is cultured in 293 or Vero cells, where the aurine tricarboxylic acid is present at a concentration of 10–60 μM and where the aurine tricarboxylic acid is present in an amount that increases the yield of herpes virus. Further, the cultured recombinant herpes simplex virus is used to obtain recombinant adeno-associated virus virions.
EFFECT: technical result is to increase the production of HSV through the use of ATK.
