FIELD: heterogeneous catalysis.
SUBSTANCE: methane oxidation catalysts based on complex oxides with deposited noble metal nanoparticles, which have improved catalytic characteristics, and can be used in the process of cleaning industrial methane emissions. The method for obtaining a catalyst for the complete oxidation of methane consists in thermal treatment of the reaction product of the carrier based on complex oxides and a solution of a palladium-containing compound, while a finely dispersed powder of the composition LnFe0.5 Sb1.5O6, where Ln=La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, with a Rosiaite structure, is added to a solution of palladium acetylacetonate in ethanol so that the nominal content of palladium in the product is 0.5-1.9 wt.%. Next, the suspension is held under stirring at a temperature of 78°C until the solvent is completely evaporated, then the precipitate is calcined at a temperature of 400-580°C for 2-4 hours in an air atmosphere.
EFFECT: creating a composite material with increased catalytic activity in the methane oxidation reaction and thermal stability.
