In this case, the block (8) for measuring the refractive index of the atmosphere in the interests of radar contains two multipliers (8.1, 8.3), a phase-shifting chain (8.2), two low-pass filters (8.4, 8.6), a highly stable heterodyne generator (8.5), two analog-to-digital transducers (8.7, 8.9), phase detector (8.8), delay line (8.10), three adders (8.11, 8.12, 8.14), subtractor (8.13) and phase velocity calculator (8.15).
