FIELD: radio location.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio location and can be used in radars of the UHF range for over-the-horizon detection of surface and low-flying targets.
EFFECT: technical result consists in providing a possibility of detecting and tracking objects at over-the-horizon ranges using a UHF radar in cases when the antenna of the radar is located at a height greater than the height of the evaporation waveguide; the method provides a possibility to search for, detect an object in the area of responsibility of the radar, measure the coordinates thereof using the radar, and conduct tracking thereof.
