FIELD: soil remediation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of remediation of the soil contaminated with heavy metals of technogenic origin, in particular technogenic wastelands formed as a result of exposure to emissions from copper-nickel metallurgical enterprises. Contaminated soil with initial actual acidity pH 3.7-4.8, contaminated mainly with copper and nickel, is remediated. Thermovermiculite is pre-saturated with a fertilizer solution in the form of an aqueous solution of urea or nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer with a nitrogen content of not more than 1.7 g/l. Saturated thermovermiculite is mixed with spent serpentine-containing sorbent in the ratio 1:0.5-2 and the resulting mixture is applied to the contaminated soil at the ratio 1:2-5. Then, the seeds of perennial ryegrass are sown in the prepared soil mixture.
EFFECT: method allows to reduce the pH value of the resulting soil mixture by 0.7-1.7%, reduce the concentration of water-soluble copper by 19-34% and nickel by 8-28% and increase the length of the perennial ryegrass sprouts by 29-53% compared with control samples after 21 days due to the introduction of bound nitrogen.
